For someone like me who works on the go, I lug around both my laptops plus the power cords plus other gadgets with me all the time. On days when I don’t have any heavy duty work I prefer to carry the Zenpad with me. It enables me to do my blog work, edit, watch movies, play games and much more without the extra burden.
Since I do prefer to use my DSLR for all the shooting purpose I don’t really feel the need to use the camera on this device. None the less the camera Zenpad 8.0 is pretty decent if not great. It has a ton of camera functions and modes to enhance the shooting experience. Like the Zenfone 2 lazer (I will be reviewing it soon) this too comes with a lot of features like Beautification, GIF Animation, Slow Motion, Time Lapse etc. Plus you can always install certain apps to tweak your images according to your preference.
The Audio Cover is sold separately for Rs. 3,000 and works as a protective cover, add-on speaker plus provides additional battery life (Upto 6 hours) to your Zenpad. It requires no pairing, so no fussing around with the bluetooth is needed. The audio cover has a feel of a diary and has an excellent finish and texture plus the sensors unlocks the tablet when you flip it open. You can use this audio book as a stand too if you place it on any surface. The audio cover has six 5.1 Channel Speakers (Main x 4, Center x 1, Subwoofer x 1) that provide a sound which is quite loud so you can watch your favourite series with your friends. The Audio cover is definitely worth the investment if you’re looking to buy a good case for the ZenPad 8.0.
Over all the Asus Zenpad 8.0 is the perfect on the go device for me as it helps me do my blog work plus watch movies while I’m stuck in traffic (We all know how bad the Mumbai traffic can be). I highly recommend you to give it a try if you travel often and are looking for a good tablet at a decent price range.
The Asus Zenpad 8.0 costs Rs.14,999/- for device only and Rs. 17,999/- bundled with the audio cover. You can find out more about the Zenpad 8.o on their website here.
