My Thought on
the cover: I won’t lie; I judge a book by its cover. This one is not bad but I feel it could’ve been so much better.

My first
thoughts: This is not the kind of book I would typically go for. As you may know by now I’ve had bad experience with Indian authors in the past and out of 10 books I read I ended up liking just 2… When I read the summary of this novel,
I was skeptical about it. I thought eh? Indian tadka on Romeo and Juliet?

My view: When I read the 1st 10 lines of the book I squealed OMG! Hell yeah… This is a Mumbai Based Novel! I’ve never read a novel before which was based in my city and I have to agree it took my imagination to a whole new level, it was so different than my previous reading experience, as I’ve been to most of the locations mentioned in the book I could almost imagine being there. It became so realistic that I could almost feel whatever you depicted happening right in front of my eyes. The
author did a great job expressing his feelings as I could almost feel a hurricane of emotions going through me as I sifted from one chapter to another. Has it ever happened to you, right when you are done reading a good book you just sit there for few seconds, rewinding your thoughts a little and there is a bitter sweet moment where you are glad to know the end but sad to see it get over? This is one of those novels that made me feel that way. Reading something different than my usual chic lit has broadened my horizon. I would try and read different genre of novels from now on.

If you live in Mumbai,  like bitter sweet love stories, want to read novels by Indian author, want to read something different or just want to read a great book I suggest going for it.
