Movies: Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood
An homage to Hollywood’s golden age, Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood follows the tale of a declining actor, Leonardo DiCaprio and his stunt double, Brad Pitt, as they struggle to find fame and success in the new era of Hollywood. Set in 1969 Los Angeles with a revisionist take on the Manson Family murders, this is Quinton Tarantino’s ninth film and has what the chairman of Sony Pictures, Tom Rothman, describes as “the best ending, ever.”
For Tarantino fans who enjoy his memorable musical choices, the soundtrack to Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood is now streaming on Spotify – a prelude to the film’s release on August 15th.
Food and Drink: The Pontiac Pop-up at OliveConsistently voted as one of Asia’s best bars since 2016, the Pontiac travels from Hong Kong to set up shop at Olive for two nights on August 2nd and 3rd. Tink Aira Chan, the lead bartender and Arlene Wong, the bartender / restaurant operator, of this dive bar infamous for their select menu of just nine specialty cocktails will be serving up six of their exotic concoctions – think pickle infusions, banana liquor and pops of chili amongst other tropical ingredients.
