Look’s like January was a very gadget centric month for me, not that I am complaining, since it does play quite a crucial role in what I do for a living. When it comes to gadgets one thing which we all can’t live without is our cell phone and today I am very excited to review the New Asus Zenfone 2 Laser for you guys.
After the huge success of Zenfone 2, ASUS recently launched three new addition to the Zenfone line: Zenfone Selfie, Zenfone Deluxe and Zenfone 2 Laser. Zenfone 2 Laser is a better, faster and improved version of Zenfone 2.
Zenfone 2 Laser comes with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC. The device is 5.5 inch long, 3.9 mm thin, weighs around 170 grams and has HD 1280×720 screen resolution. The memory is expandable to up to 128 GB and comes with dual sim. It has an improved body with the Corning Gorilla Glass LCD and also 3000 mAh battery (Lasts the whole day easily).
Apart from the phone the Zenfone 2 Laser comes with the usb cord and the adapter, sadly earphones are not the part of the package. This is not a major drawback for me since I do prefer using my own but additional earphones as always a bonus. This version of the phone comes in 5 colour option: Black, White, Red, Silver & Gold. I have the brushed metallic gold version which looks classy and fits my style. The device has a very rich and minimalistic feel to it, with no buttons along the body there is a power button and jack located on top of the phone and volume control button located just below the rear camera lens, this button can also be used to click pictures. The way this phone is moulded, it fits perfectly in your palm and you can use the double tab motion to wake the phone up.
Like most people, while purchasing a phone the most important aspect for me is the camera and I will be sharing my views with you on the same. The USP of this phone is the laser autofocus camera on the rear for fastest possible clarity. It has a 13-megapixel primary (Back) camera (with LED flash), and a 5-megapixel secondary (Front) camera.
Front Camera: Auto Focus, F2.0 Aperture, PixelMaster, Low Light mode, Real Time Beautification, Night mode, Photo Effects, Time Lapse, Selfie Panorama (up to 140 ˚), HDR mode, GIF animation
Back Camera: Auto Focus, Wide View, LED Flash, F2.0 Aperture, PixelMaster, dual-color Real Tone flash, Blue Glass IR Filter, Zero Shutter Lag, Back Light (HDR) mode with ASUS PixelEnhancing Technology for up to 400% brighter, and evenly exposed photos, Low Light mode, Manual Mode for DSLR-like camera detail settings, Super resolution mode for up to 52 X resolution photos, Real Time Beautification, Night mode, Depth of field, Selfie mode, Photo Effects, Panorama mode, Miniature, Time Rewind, Smart Remove, All Smiles, Time Lapse.
Video: Full HD Video recording,1080p30 capture / 1080p60 capture, Video stabilisation, One-touch still-capture facility.
The laser-autofocus has sharp focusing ability at 0.3 secs, clicks the images really fast, this feature is mostly seen on high-end devices. Apart from the super quick capacity to focus, this camera is also smart at locking in the fine details on your subject which gives you a sharp, clear image. The camera works great in both well-lit plus low light areas and the close up images produce excellent results. What’s amazing about the Zenphone’s is all the camera functions and modes which are available in the device to enhance the shooting experience. There are amazing features like Beautification, GIF Animation, Slow Motion, Time Lapse etc which you can use to get the best out of your photos. There are also some excellent filters and modes, including depth of field, Super resolution, low light, miniature and much more. The manual mode has a long list of professional options too, which you can use to click your images according to your preference. I love the low light feature, it lights up your image without the need for flash. Another of my favourite camera function is the beautification mode as it does take your selfie game up a notch.
Weather you an instagrammer, selfie addict or are just looking for a budget friendly phone with amazing camera quality this is just the one for you, at Rs.11,549 nothing beats this beauty. To know more about ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser, head over to their website here.
